I acquired some solid planks from an old row boat on the banks of the Ganga at Varanasi the holiest Hindu place of all, steeped in cremation ash of a million people no doubt. A true wood piece of indian antiquity.
Bodh Gaya
During my last trip to India, I couldn't resist a visit to Bodh Gaya.

HTC in Hong Kong
On a recent trip to Hong Kong I went to visit the office of ATP which is run a by Jon and Don Picker, a father & son team from Chicago who had the incredibly clever idea of taking their specific skill set and expertise in tree care to the vaste burgeoning markets of China/asia . They have since done some amazing work in preserving the weird old wall growing Banyans of HK amongst many other righteous projects. Since I was born in HK and have growth up with a great familial mythology surrounding the place I was incredibly pleased to be back and meeting these consummate Professionals (and basically interviewing them) was an added bonus.
