Board Certified Master Arborist

We did it!

Joseph Gillingham, HTC’s ship captain, has acquired another of his already big list of certifications after a long journey of experience and studies. He passed the exam!

So now we can proudly say it. Heritage Tree Care has a Master Arborist on board.

What is a Master Arborist?

The master arborist designation is reserved for professional arborists who have attained the highest level of study in arboriculture by the International Society of Arboriculture (aka ISA).

Plant Appraisal Qualification Course

Last week Heritage Tree Care Inc. attended the Plant Appraisal Qualification Course imparted at Whitby, Ontario.

The course was thorough and interesting. The guide given is a very helpful tool for plant appraisal. In the Urban forestry industry, it is very useful to know how to define reasoned judgments about the value of trees and landscape plants. This helps us to become better arborists.

Heritage Tree Care at the ISAO Annual Conference

We attended the ISAO Annual Conference in Huntsville, Ontario.

Great experience meeting fellow arborists and listening to fascinating lectures about our favorite topics such as soil science and the cultural imperative of trees in Urban settings.
